Review of sector of the dairy industry of Ukraine

The sector of the dairy industry of Ukraine includes enterprises for the production of milk from various dairy products: canned milk, butter, milk powder, cheese, cheese, cream, sour cream and other dairy products.The enterprises of the dairy industry of Ukraine produces about 1% of the world’s milk and 14 takes place in the international ranking of exports of dairy products. In recent years, our country has seen an increase in productivity of dairy cattle and milk production growth and increases the proportion of high-quality raw materials supplied for processing, which improves the competitiveness of dairy products and build its presence in world markets. According to the official data of the State Service of Ukraine on the results of 2015 it was produced 11.4 mln. tons of milk, 84 thousand tons of butter, 114 thousand  tons of oil of extra class.In January-April 2015 Ukraine imported milk in the amount of 0.169 mln. dollars, the export amounted to 1.536 mln. US dollars.In April 2015 Ukraine imported milk totaling 0.083 million. dollars, the export amounted to 0.472 mln. US dollars.In March 2015 Ukraine imported milk totaling 0.037 million. dollars, the export amounted to 0.321 mln. US dollars.According to the State Fiscal Service.Ukraine has rather good potential for export of dairy products in the world. Union of Dairy Enterprises expects milk production growth in 2015 by almost 4% due to increased production by large farm enterprises. It is also projected to increase exports of dairy products by 5% and the stabilization of the production of cheese.Currently in Ukraine there are about 250 enterprises specializing in the production of dairy products. 200 enterprises in Ukraine specializing in the production of cheese products. Second and third place in the number of enterprises in Ukraine took butter and drinking milk. Least of all enterprises in Ukraine for the production of condensed milk and casein, 7 enterprises engaged in production of cream.To date, foreign investors have become increasingly interested in the sector of the dairy industry of Ukraine. Inserting investments, for example, the replacement of breeds cow will significantly increase the export of domestic dairy products on the world market. Note that the return on investment in the dairy sector accounts for 7 to 10 years.
